zkMe and Hippocrat to bring zk-proof Credentials to Online Medical Industry

Hippocrat, a soon-to-be leading online medical resource for the masses, will leverage zkMe’s privacy-preserving credentials to bring a safe and verified environment for their medical advice platform, then possibly verify medical licensing through zkMe’s identity oracle.

Hippocrat solves inaccessibility of medical information

With the internet being pervasive, yet medical advice being inaccessible for many patients in need, Hippocrat is launching a new platform to bring not only sound and professional advice to the everyday user, but also create a safe and efficient method of storing and sharing medical history.

Hippocrat is first launching an online consultation platform that users can ask medical questions to medical professionals from across the globe, and where medical professionals such as doctors and nurses will be incentivized to answer. They will follow up with expanding a medical history database that doctors can easily access through verified credentials, where the user has full control over the sharing of their history. This process is also streamlined through blockchain technology to be shared and approved in a matter of minutes, whereas the traditional methods can sometimes take days.

zkMe solves the identity issue through a private, anonymous, and compliant oracle

The zkMe identity oracle, through the zk-proof anonymous KYC service will help ensure that those asking or answering the questions will be proven to be who they say they are while remaining anonymous. Medical credentials such as medical licenses for doctors and nurses, along with specializations, are also something that zkMe is exploring to bring into the oracle’s purview.

As the medical industry is heavily concerned with not only the privacy of users (and their subsequent medical data), but also with the validity of a supposed professional’s credentials, the zero-knowledge proof’s ability to preserve privacy, and zkMe’s ability to bring offline credentials to web3 is a perfect application of the synergies provided by the identity oracle.

With zkKYC being launched recently with zkMe, Hippocrat may soon have verified persons on their platforms giving advice, and sometime next year, may even have verified medical experts providing medical advice and requesting medical history, all secured by the zkme identity oracle.
