zkMe Technical Update - May 2024

Welcome to the zkMe Technical Update — May! During this month, our development team focused on user experience optimisation and product feature enhancement, dedicated to providing users with a smoother and more secure service experience.

zkMe is the web3 zero-knowledge (ZK) identity layer. zkMe builds Identity Oracles that leverage the power of zero-knowledge-proofs to enable secure, self-sovereign and private credential verifications. We empower developers building leading web3 projects to elevate their security and regulatory compliance while simultaneously protecting their users identity.

Our latest Technical Update highlights our updates in the following areas:

zkMe App

  • Improved user KYC process experience

zkMe has added a new feature that supports verifying the match between the document selected by the user and the document scanned. This functionality aims to reduce errors and enhance the accuracy of document verification processes.

zkMe Dashboard (for customers)

  • Improved Dashboard UX

The zkMe Dashboard now features a new “Program name” field. The filtering and search options have been enhanced to support filtering by Program name. This enhancement allows the projects to conveniently have a general overview of which users completed KYC under which programs. In addition, due to the shift from one account corresponding to one program to supporting multiple programs under one account, we’ve transitioned from using the account address as the primary reference to utilizing the program address as the focal point.

  • Functional optimization

Currently zkMe zkKYC defaults to supporting ID cards and passports for all countries when configuring the programme. The configuration is the same for all countries except for the US and Japan which additionally support driver’s licence. The addition of this feature allows the configuration of supported document types for each country within the same KYC programme. This means that the supported document types may be different for different countries.

zkMe Widget

  • Functional optimization Widget SDK now supports the inclusion of Program Number as a parameter when project owners invoke it. The SDK can recognize the Program Number provided by the project owner and execute the designated KYC program scheme accordingly for subsequent operations.
  • Support zkKYC on Ronin Mainnet for On-chain Mint Version

zkMe Official Website

  • New Blog Integration

Our newly hosted blog now features a direct link to zkMe Official Website, where users and customers can stay updated with the latest insights and developments of zkMe!

  • Updated zkMe News Section
