zkMe Technical Update - August

We are excited to announce our August 2024 technical updates, featuring significant improvements across zkMe components to enhance user experience, security, and new functionalities.We’re particularly thrilled about the recently added Campaign function, which allows us to partner with various collaborators to create exciting opportunities for our users to gain rewards. We actively invite you to explore this feature, participate in campaigns, and earn points through your engagement.

In August, our app downloads across iOS and Android reached 31.6k, while total attestations surged to 657.4k, demonstrating consistent growth in the zkMe ecosystem.

Our latest Technical Update highlights our updates in the following areas:

  • zkMe Identity Hub (the user interface to complete their verification, manage their credentials and engage with zkMe.)
  • zkMe Widget (provided by the zkMe JavaScript SDK, which allows developers to integrate credential verification features into their applications.)
  • zkMe App (our app version of zkMe Identity Hub)

zkMe Identity Hub

The latest update for zkMe Identity Hub introduces a range of exciting features aimed at enhancing user engagement. With the successful rollout of the Pencils x zkMe XP Campaign, we have further refined the “Campaign” section within the Identity Hub. This enhancement facilitates collaboration with our partners, optimizing the user experience for campaign participation and improving the point accumulation system.

In August, we diligently worked on integrating the zkCreditScore, our first zk profiling credential leveraging zero-knowledge proof of credit score, into our zkMe Identity Hub. This feature aims to obtain US credit score information provided by our partner, Reclaim Protocol, leveraging their zkTLS technology. This allows us to verify user credit score data and mint Soulbound Tokens (SBT). At the time we published this update, we announced the launch of this feature already.

As part of our blockchain integration efforts, we are excited about the addition of the Plume Network to expand our ecosystem. We have enabled the minting of Identity SBT on the Plume testnet, along with support for relevant achievements and badges associated with this network. This enhancement allows Plume users to engage more deeply with our ecosystem while leveraging the power of zero-knowledge technology. Additionally, we have brought our Web3 native solutions to Plume, enabling the Plume ecosystem and its users to fully benefit from innovative features and opportunities.

zkMe Widget

The zkMe Widget has also been optimized to synchronize with the implementations occurring on the zkMe Identity Hub in support of the Plume Network.

zkMe App

We are endeavoring to reflect most of the key functions of the Identity Hub within our app as well. To improve navigation within the app, we have updated the framework of the zkMe App with upgraded pages: Home, Credentials, Campaigns, and Achievements.We encourage all users to explore these enhancements and share their feedback as we continue to innovate and improve the zkMe experience.
