Today, we’re delighted to announce the integration of zkMe’s identity solutions with the Aptos blockchain. As a result, the Aptos Foundation will leverage zkMe to provide an accessible and straightforward way for users to verify identities on-chain while maintaining their confidentiality.
Aptos is an independent upgradeable Layer-1 blockchain platform focused on safety and scalability, boasting a dynamic ecosystem of more than 200 launched projects. Since its Mainnet launch, Aptos witnessed over 300 million transactions, with more than 7 million addresses created and achieving a real-world time-to-finality (TTF) of less than one second.
Known for its innovative approach to identity verification, zkMe utilizes a protocol that ensures personal data and personally identifiable information (PII) is used only as a decentralized input and remains undisclosed to third parties entirely. The zkMe identity oracle also allows cross-chain verifications to enable interoperability with other blockchains, allowing for easy client onboarding. At the center of it all: user authentication and identity protection.
With this partnership, zkMe’s identity oracle will be integrated into the Aptos ecosystem and will be automatically available to all developers and creators building on Aptos.

The native integration ensures the privacy and security of Aptos user identities by leveraging zkMe’s pioneering use of ZKPs (zero-knowledge proofs), while also ensuring compliance with increasing financial regulations. By transforming how user identities are verified and managed on Aptos, users will have full control over their data while still gaining access to applications. Furthermore, ecosystem developers will benefit from stronger protections against fraud and abuse which is becoming increasingly topical throughout the industry.
